After being destroyed by a gas explosion followed by a fire, the Fischbach temporary school was rebuilt. Only the foundation and the floor slab could be reused, while the building was expanded by one story and a gymnasium—
—based on the original plans.
The school building was constructed using a modular wood-frame design, which allowed for quick and efficient completion. With 16 classrooms, a library, a shop, and other spaces, it provides a modern and child-friendly learning environment.
The temporary school is part of the City of Dornbirn’s school facility plan and serves as a temporary location during construction and renovation work at other school sites.
