Master Plan 2012: Feldkirch Regional Hospital, Phase 3 – Addition of a second story to the south wing. Originally a single-story structure, now two stories. Renovation of outpatient clinics; addition of an east ventilation center. Utilization of the existing structural framework with "Vierendeel" girders. Holistic facade design: open long sides, aluminum windows, natural stone cladding. Perforated stone slabs for a pleasant lighting atmosphere in the stairwell. Construction costs ~ 18.5 million, ~ 2,200 m² of usable floor space, lightweight construction with steel structure ~ 96 tons. Exposed concrete stairwell inside. 18 outpatient clinics with associated ancillary rooms such as waste disposal, supply, base, lounge, meeting room, storage, and technical facilities. 20 offices, which have now been converted into 10 outpatient clinics.
