The approach bridge is designed as an integral, continuous reinforced concrete slab bridge with a length of 70 m. The slab thickness is 50 cm, which allows both for the continuation of the main bridge’s contour and for spans of up to 15.0 m. To reduce weight, the slab can be reinforced with hollow cores. The piers of the foreland bridge are precast reinforced concrete elements with a diameter of 30 cm. They are inserted into the sleeves of precast foundations, which are installed continuously during the construction of the access road. This construction method avoids on-site concrete pouring to comply with the requirements for a water protection area. The approach bridge is constructed using the Monofinish method. Drainage is achieved via a slight outward slope. At the edges, rainwater is collected and systematically drained through the structure via vertical downspouts. Stormwater is drained via underground piping.
