Renovation of Existing Buildings
The renovation and expansion of the historic Ferdinandeum in Innsbruck includes the careful modernization of the existing building as well as a new structure featuring additional exhibition and event spaces.
While the building is being brought up to modern museum standards in terms of technology and functionality, new public spaces are being created for social interaction and cultural activities. Demolition of the existing annex is already underway, and construction of the new building will begin immediately afterward.
All measures are carried out in close consultation with the Federal Monuments Office and in accordance with the stringent requirements of museum operations, particularly with regard to climate control for conservation purposes, security systems, fire safety, and complex building services.
