Schloss Hofen State Education Centre

Structural Engineering
Steel construction
Timber construction

The two existing buildings of the Landesbildungszentrum Schloss Hofen—the castle and the servants’ quarters—will retain their historic exterior appearance almost entirely and will undergo primarily a reorganization of their interior layouts. While the annex is intended to serve primarily as an administrative area in the future, the uses within the castle itself are clearly assigned to the respective floors. The ground floor houses the restaurant and reception area, the upper floor is dedicated exclusively to seminar and lecture rooms, and the guest rooms are located on the top two floors. In the rear, eastern section, a largely underground structural expansion of the entire infrastructure, as well as the development of the seminar and hotel operations, will be carried out, thereby unlocking the castle’s full potential.
