The Lindau district is planning to build a new Antonio Huber School in Lindenberg in the Allgäu region. The construction project is located on the eastern side of the existing school grounds. The school, which specializes in emotional and social development, is designed for approximately 165 students and has a total floor area of approximately 2,967 m² (
). The four-story building will be constructed above ground using timber construction methods. The solid reinforced concrete basement forms the visual base upon which the timber structure rests. This construction method allows for a high degree of prefabrication, resulting in a faster construction timeline that is less dependent on weather conditions.

The basement houses workshops and the all-day care program. The ground floor and upper floors contain the classrooms, as well as common areas, administrative offices, and the teachers’ lounge. By mid-2024, a learning and development space tailored to the needs of children and young people is set to be created here in active cooperation with the City of Lindenberg and the Special Education Support Center.
