Timber construction

The historic center of Hohenems is being expanded to include the town hall district. The new town hall will be constructed as a six-story hybrid timber building; as a striking landmark and a distinctive element of the cityscape, it will define the new entrance to the city center. Fragments of words and text are skillfully incorporated into the façade to create a unique expression specific to Hohenems. Sustainability principles such as C2C, energy efficiency, and ecology guide the design and subsequent construction.

In addition to City Hall, other projects are underway on Diepoldsauerstraße, including the underground parking garage, the city park, and residential buildings, as well as the renovation of the historic Villa Rosenthal.
