Reichshof Stadium Lustenau

The desire for a new stadium, preferably constructed of wood, and the preservation and integration of the west stand into the project are the programmatic and contextual premises for this project.

The design responds to the residents of Lustenau’s longing and desire for a “living room” for their soccer—a place for the Lustenau community that is on a scale appropriate to their town and conceived almost entirely as a wooden structure. With their concrete bases, these four pylons ensure that the wooden grandstand structures can rest on them, avoiding contact with the ground, and thereby transforming them into something special (fulfilling the client’s vision of a “living room”). 

The stadium has a total capacity of approximately 5,100 spectators, distributed among the north, south, east, and west stands.
